On Tribute Mission Day:
You’ve picked the session and time you would like to fly.
It’s recommended you have thought and prepared for this mission in advance.
PLEASE REVIEW: FLYERS TRAINING #TheAviators Quarterly Tribute Mission –> it gives you a sample flight overview, sample tribute tweets and other resources available to brief you on how the mission is to be accomplished.
Everyone gets signed into Twitter on their devices or computers.
Wear your goggles. (Use them as your avatar).
Use #TheAviators in all your tweets so you can see other and others can see you. If you have a protected tweets locked account and want to be seen in the hash tag stream during the mission, please go to your profile page, click on the gear wheel icon and go to settings to unlock, save the changes and refresh the page. After the mission, you can go to the same place to lock back up again.
Bring up #TheAviators hash tag page in direct (regular) twitter by placing #TheAviators into Twitter’s search feature (the place with the magnifying glass symbol). When that page comes up you click on All (so all tweets are shown).
You can then follow and participate in the entire flight. If #TheAviators hash tag should run too fast for you – switch over to your Flight Leaders tweet page to follow the program.
Applications like TweetDeck allow you to bring up #TheAviators hash tag and add it as a column to follow. TweetDeck like applications also allows bringing up a user column like the Twitter address (addie) of your Flight Team Leader. One can then see all #TheAviators plus keep close track on the Flight Team Leader’s tweets.
Every individual must find their own way with their own technology devices.
The entire flight will last for one hour. #TheAviators gather up to meet and greet fifteen minutes prior to scheduled flight time. Early, on time, even a little late, it is OK to come and fly.
TWO FLIGHT SESSIONS – Southern Mission and Northern Mission are class session terms to define a worldwide schedule. #TheAviators members are global representing four continents. All #TheAviators are always welcome to fly the schedule that suits their personal needs best.
BRAND NEW AVIATORS – the most important things besides your wonderful enthusiasm is (1) have your call sign (personal flight name). Here’s the chart to pick one out – if you have not done so already. (2) Use #TheAviators hash tag in each tweet. (3) If you have a protected (locked) tweet account, it needs to be unlocked to be seen in #TheAviators hash tag stream and may be re-locked after the flight is over. (4) If #TheAviators hash tag is going too fast for you to follow, switch over to your Flight Leader’s Twitter page to see their prompts (flight tweets).
#TheAviators Quarterly Tribute Missions held on Twitter are accomplished with tweeting in during the mission times by individual #TheAviators flyers and guests (all of the general twitter and anipal community are also welcomed to tweet in) remembering pets and animals passed away OTRB.
